Low-moisture cleaning puts far less water into the carpet than regular hot water extraction. That means less chance of over-wetting the pad, less wicking of old stains back up to the surface, and less of that musty smell afterward. We pre-treat traffic lanes and spots, clean with the low-moisture system and groom the pile so it dries standing up. For heavy pet urine, we treat the pad underneath as well as the surface, since the smell lives in the pad.
